I decided to paint my primaris space marine sergeant hair in blonde!
Step 01
Army Painter primers:
Base Primer Matt Black;
Base Primer Matt White.
First of all, the miniature has to be primed and painted. Only the head is unpainted. It’s better to paint the head as a final part of miniature.
Step 02
Citadel base paint:
Bugman’s Glow.
Bugman’s Glow paint covers the primer well and it’s a good base color for further skin painting. Apply paint to the entire face of the miniature, carefully paint the place of hair growth.
Step 03
Citadel layer paint:
Cadian Fleshtone.
Highlight top parts of protruding parts of the face: nose, eyebrows, cheekbones. After this step face will already look very realistic.
Step 04
Citadel shade paint:
Reikland Fleshshade.
Use more Reikland Fleshshade if you want to make miniature’s face darker tone and use less if you want to make it lighter.
Step 05
Citadel base paint:
Rakarth Flesh.
Rakarth Flesh gives a fancy look of blonde hair. Painting miniatures hair this way you’ll have a really interesting, deep hair color.
Step 06
Citadel shade paint:
Nuln Oil.
Nuln Oil is very helpful as always. As you can see at this step, you can stop painting miniatures head. It looks realistic and finished. But I wanted a little more.
Step 07
Citadel layer paint:
Ulthuan Grey.
The color which I like so much for my Tau figures armor! In this case, I used Ulthuan Grey for drybrushing hair. You can see the result. In my opinion, it looks very nice! But this step is not necessary.
Result
Well, here’s what I’ve got in the end:
As you see I finished painting base and apply highlights. To be honest it was better to do before painting head because it’s much easier to fix armor color then head.
Hope this post was useful for you. Paint your miniatures and have fun from it, guys!

Finally, that day has come! This year my friends and I arranged Star Wars original trilogy marathon. My wife suggested stylizing the house a little to the event.
Today we will tell you about how to draw a Gnome from Dungeons & Dragons. This is not the most recognizable type of gnome, however, due to the huge popularity of this universe, many people imagine gnomes that way.
